Dear family of Ainy: I am deeply saddened by Ainy's passing. Having worked with her at Augsburg for several
decades, I treasured her work ethic, stood in awe of her diplomacy and sensitivity in her difficult job in financial
aid, admired her personal integrity, and regarded her as a strong role model for her peers. I kept in close touch
with her these past several years; she enriched my life greatly through her perpetually upbeat attitude despite
physical challenges, her careful and astute personal insights, and her wise counsel during these strange and
often grim times. She was, in short, a saint! A Biblical scripture comes to mind: I thank God upon my every
