Embedded below this FAQ section are guides for each of Cremation Society of Minnesota’s chapels, which detail specifics about each of our chapel's available resources for a service.

Not necessarily. It used to be that if someone passed, the funeral service was held just a few days later, but you don’t have to follow that timeline. If Cremation Society of Minnesota handles the arrangements for your loved one, you can always come back at a later date to plan a service.

Each of our locations has a reception room for guests to eat at. We can connect you with a caterer or help identify other options for having food at a funeral service.

If you are booking just the chapel at a Cremation Society of Minnesota location, the chapel is reserved for 4 hours of your choosing. Confirm with your funeral director what times are available for booking. If you are booking the chapel and the reception room, the space is booked for up to 6 hours. Please do note that services will not be booked without payment in full for the booking.

Cremation Society of Minnesota does not limit you to specific time slots for booking services. You are welcome to pick the times that work best for your family situation, and your funeral director will help coordinate staffing for the event. Every Cremation Society of Minnesota location is a licensed funeral home and can assist you with a casketed service for a loved one, including help coordinate the burial goods and services for an interment at a cemetery.

Unfortunately, none of our locations have a liquor license. You are welcome to indulge in a toast away from the premises, but bringing alcoholic beverages to the service can result in serious liabilities for yourself, and for the Cremation Society of Minnesota. Individuals that bring such beverages to a service will be politely asked to dispose of them.

Not everyone knows a pastor, priest, or celebrant that can conduct a funeral service. Cremation Society of Minnesota may be able to connect you with someone that can help, including some nondenominational and secular celebrants, for funeral services without a specific religious component.
