Obituary of Robert Dunnweber

Robert Dunnweber, died December 15, 2023, in Duluth.  He was born November 3, 1935 in International Falls to Ted and Ethel Dunnweber.   He was married to Ann for for 63 years 

Bob was a Veteran of the US Army, serving over in Germany and was a part of the Cold War.  He retired from DWP Railroad after 40 years.  He then went on to be conductor of the North Shore Scenic (mostly the pizza) Train. He was very active in The American Legion in West Duluth; he even held the Commander role for awhile.  He did many parades with his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and sister.  He is survived by his wife, Ann Dunnweber; daughter, Chris (Mike) McCorison; son, Mark Dunnweber; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a granddaughter-in-law; and many other relatives and friends. 

Bob did not die alone, his daughter, Chris, was with him at hospice until he passed.  A great-man, gone but never forgotten.  

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 at the First Memorial Funeral Center, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
