Obituary of Mavis C. Peterson

Mavis Peterson, 86, of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away on September 12, 2023. She was a strong and generous person with a great sense of humor. Mavis leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and cherished memories.

Mavis is survived by her children Sandy (Kyle) Anderson, Scott (Kara) Peterson, Jennifer (Dave) Heifort, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as her sister Loretta Eick. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Peterson, her parents Louis and Hilda (Nelson) Meyer, and her brother Lowell (Beverly) Meyer.

Mavis was a dedicated member of the Community of Grace Lutheran Church where she found solace and strength in her faith. Mavis enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including baking, cooking, painting, reading, and crafting. Her creativity and passion for these activities brought joy to those around her and allowed her to express her artistic side.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Community of Grace Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, MN. The service will be followed by a luncheon. A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling in early November. Mavis will be deeply missed. Her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will forever be remembered. May she rest in peace.
