Dear family....
I am so sorry to hear of Jan's passing ... my friend of sixty-eight years. Your loss as family members is even greater than mine. Jan and I were "brothers times two"... (brothers x 2)... fraternity brothers at Butler University beginning in 1954, and, later in life, and more importantly, brothers in Christ. God did a wonderful work in both our lives, and sharing that faith together was of utmost importance to both of us.
Jan was a man of great integrity... an example I pray all of you kids and grandkids will emulate. He and Marilyn shared Butler basketball and football games, as well as breakfasts at LePeeps with Star and me. We have missed that since they moved to Wisconsin. But they moved with an important family purpose and loved all of you well. I know you felt it.
I hope we can make the Clear Lake service next year. I will miss Jan more than I can say here. The joy that accompanies grief is that we will one day rejoice again together.
