Obituary of Dawn Christine Van Tassel

Dawn Christine Van Tassel

Age 46 of St. Louis Park. Died unexpectedly on April 7, 2021.
Dawn graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in Communications and received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. After a long career as a business litigator, she formed her own law practice in 2014. She also served as an adjunct professor at the William Mitchell College of Law and made the list of Minnesota Super Lawyers from 2014-2017.
She had a passion for music, reading, movies, travel, and cooking. She sang with the Minnetonka Choral Society and volunteered with several charities in the area.
She is survived by her parents, Stephen and MaryAnn Van Tassel, her sister Debbie Van Tassel, and her daughter Julia in addition to numerous family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Donald and Mary Heger and her paternal grandparents Evan and Sophia Van Tassel.
A celebration of life will be held on May 25, 2021, 7-9 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN.
