Dear Palm Family, I knew Bob as the husband of my lifelong friend and whom I first met as a member of their wedding party. Over 65 years and thousands of miles apart, as a result of occasional visits, we got to know him better - enough to know that Marlene had chosen very well. He was always gracious, interested and interesting. On my absence he and Marlene would occasionally visit my elderly, widowed mother, which I truly appreciated. I was particularly touched one time when Bob volunteered that she “makes really great coffee”. Now I know that he has made you some really great memories. We too feel his loss and send love and prayers as you mourn his passing and also celebrate his well-lived life. Warmly, Doris and Tom McAleer

Marlene, Lisa, Kris, Lee, and family, I was deeply saddened and shed some tears for Bob and all of you. Our families have been close for many years. I think of all of you as an extension of our family and hearing Bob is gone hurts my heart. I remember our visits to Elgin in the summer and the fun we used to have. Bob always came in and played and made us laugh when the 7 of us played together while my parents and your mom were chatting. So many memories over the years that are comforting. I was saddened to hear of Bobs passing. I was the babysitter for many years for the Palm girls. I am one of those that looked at Bob as a great father figure. I love the Palm family. So many great memories. My mom will be thrilled to see Bob. I love you guys.

Fond memories of your dad and mom. This was one that really sticks out. They had so much fun. Remember all those fun visits at the farm and at your house. You girls were always performing. LOL.
