Obituary of Jerry Carlton Rogers

Rogers, Jerry Carlton Loving Husband, Father, Gramps. Jerry, son of George and Edna (Shuckman) Rogers was born on February 17, 1932 in Red Wing, MN. On Friday, December 25, 2020 he died at St. Gertrude's in Shakopee, MN.

Jerry grew up in Red Wing, MN where he graduated from Red Wing High School in 1950. Following high school, He served in the Navy during the Korean War, stationed in the Philippines. In 1954 he married Gloria Betterly, his high-school sweetheart. They lived in Bloomington, MN where they raised their family. Gloria passed away in 1989. In 1999 he married Elaine Carson and their life together brought many travels and adventures. Jerry's favorite place was his home on Leech Lake where the family could gather and enjoy many good times together.

Jerry is survived by his wife Elaine, his children Michael (Jody) Rogers, Linda (Scott) Palmer, Tom Rogers, Dan Carson, Jeff (Tiffany) Carson. His grandchildren: Melissa, Matthew, Michael, Jon and Catherine and their spouses. His great grandchildren Niki, Alex, Aeralyn, Lochlann, Violet, Alaric and Isla.

There will be a memorial service at a later date at Christ Episcopal Church, Red Wing, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 321 West Ave. Red Wing, MN 55066.
