I just found this today.. i first met jim in vietnam,,, mps assigned to the 184th ord. in the central highlands... both of us from mn. you form a bond,, knowing who has your back,, and jim was one of those guys..after 3 months we were reassigned to different units,, i never saw him again... i often wondered ... i looked for him in brainerd but had no luck in finding him... and on one occasion i heard his name called at the st. cloud mn. va... just as the door was closing on my apt... looked for him afterwards,,, again no luck.. i still remember his smile,, i still remember him being one of the first to volunteer to reinforce the ammo dump under attack... he was a good soldier and friend..... god has a good soldier at his side.... so sorry... jim gruber
