Obituary of Barbara Jean Nelson

Barbara Jean Nelson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 12, 2020.  She was born on March 31, 1963 to Lyle and Marion Olson.

On September 17, 1988, Barbara Olson and Timothy Nelson were united in holy matrimony at Buffalo Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo, MN. God blessed their marriage with two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Nicolette.

Barb loved Jesus and her family above all else.  She was a God fearing woman who spent time with the Lord daily.  She continually showed God’s grace to the world through her actions and words.  She was and is an inspiration to all that knew and met her.  Her world was her husband, children and family.  She lived her life as a servant of the Lord.  She was the salt of the earth and the light in the world (Matthew 5:13-16). 

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Nelson; daughters Lindsey Schwanz (Tim), Nicolette Madero (Mark); Mother, Marion Olson, Sisters, Rebecca Wallin (Dan), Pamela Blank (Dale), Ruth Sparks; Mother-in-law, Mary Nelson, Siblings-in-law, Michael Nelson (Lori), Donald Nelson (Lori); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Olson; Father-in-law, Richard Nelson; and nephew, Erik Wallin.

The visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Redeemer Covenant Church, 7801 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.

A private Family Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 18, 2020.
