Patrick Thomas Vincelli, beloved husband, father, and grandfather age 74, of Stuart, FL and Rosemount, MN passed away surrounded by family on August 6, 2020.

Pat was born in St. Paul, MN on February 24, 1946 to Patrick Joseph and Ruth Lillian (Nelson) Vincelli.  Pat attended Hill Catholic High School and graduated in 1964 and went on to attend St. Johns College in Collegeville, MN with a degree in Sociology.  He served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer for 2 years.  After an honorable discharge, Pat continued his education, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota.  Pat spent his entire career in Human Resources.  He worked at Control Data, Fredrikson & Bryon Law Firm, Zytec Corporation, Artesyn Technologies, and Emerson Electric.

Pat married Gayle Margaret Lichliter on June 19, 1971.  They had 2 sons – Tony (Jen) and Todd (Michelle).  Pat’s four grandchildren – Lily, Isabella, Leo, and Tyler – were the light of his life.  Pat had a deep lifelong devotion to faith, family, friends, and fairways.  He was passionately involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).  FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.  Pat also volunteered his time for many years on the Stephen Ministry at Mary Mother of the Church in Burnsville, MN.  He would provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties.  Pat traveled to Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, and many other places volunteering his time to help build homes, playgrounds, and anything else needed to assist the communities.

Pat was a lifelong, accomplished golfer, having played in events all over the world.  He played in multiple major events and among his many accomplishments included being inducted into the Minnesota Senior Sports Association Hall of Fame, playing in two US Senior Amateurs, a British Senior Amateur, winning two Florida Senior State Titles, winning the MPGA Four-Ball, and winning the MN Senior Players Championship.  Pat and Gayle have been members at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville, MN since 1980.  Countless happy family memories have been made at this special place, including introducing the game of golf to his children and grandchildren.  Pat started a family tradition in 1974 going to Detroit Lakes, MN and playing in the Pine to Palm golf tournament.  This grew to be a large reunion of many family and friends every August centered around the love of golf, family, friends, and fun.  This tradition will be carried on in his memory forever.

Pat was a devoted husband and father, always putting family first, and will remain an inspiration to his soulmate Gayle, his sons, his grandchildren, his family, and to all of us that knew him.  He will never be forgotten, and his legacy will carry on for many generations to come.  Pat’s faith in Christ, love for his family and friends, his kindness, countless selfless deeds, and his abundant wisdom will continue to influence us all.  May he rest in peace.

Pat is proceeded in death by his father Patrick, mother Lil, and survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gayle, sons Tony (Jen) and Todd (Michelle), grandchildren Lily, Isabella, Leo, and Tyler, siblings Ron (Carolyn) and Vicki (Scott), aunt Sister Mary Nicholas, uncle Denny Nelson (Marlys), and his many wonderful nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
