Bob, Haidi - belated condolences to you. Your dad was so nice. I often think of him when I'm at Bone Lake and see your old cabin.

Yvonne Bushyhead posted a condolence

From his good friend Yvonne Bushyhead: I met Paul when he was in his 70's and he impressed me as an active man who worked to stay healthy. He loved his children and grandchildren, spoke often of his loving parents and aspired to have a warm welcoming home. He was highly intelligent who stayed engaged in life as he aged. He read voraciously THE NEW YORKER and THE ECONOMIST, as well as memoirs. He was an environmentalist. We shared a love of music, long discussions, the theatre, fine clothing and nice social dinners with neighbors and other friends. I honor Paul, my friend. His passing marks a kind of ending as my appreciation and love for him continue.

My name is Josie, and I was one of the activities people at Paul's care center. He was a joy! He was always interested in the trivia, word games, movies, and any physical exercise I led. He LOVED to sit outside on sunny days. We even did a little wheel chair swing dancing! He regularly talked about his family with love and pride as well as his service to his country. He had a ready smile and was always a gentleman. We will miss him!

Grandpa Paul made me laugh all the time. Being with him and just around him would make you just in a whole different mood that would lift anyone’s spirits.
