Obituary of Albert Bertram Venus

Albert Bertram Venus went on to be with the Lord on Sunday April 19.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Venus, "I remember him teaching me to drum and swim as a kid",

daughter, Delisia Venus, "What I will remember most is his smile, laughter, teaching me to dance and Christmas baking sessions. Everyone who knew him came by at Christmas time for his currant rolls, meat pies and breads",

granddaughter, Nakita Venus, "I will forever cherish the memories of pops attempting to teach me how to cook, using hand fulls in place of measurements. He showed me the joy that comes with making something by hand. His presence lingers with the smell of spicy food, the sound of old western movies, and the  aching feeling in my feet on our long walks.",

adopted daughter, Donna Powers, "He accepted me as a part of his family and treated me like one of his own.  I was always included in everything and in every wa",

and his sisters, Enid Doolgar and Wilsa Thompson.

He could do anything he put his mind to and excel at it, but he will be best remembered for his woodworking, baking, cooking, his love of fishing, and teaching the young people in his life anything he could.

Growing up our home was the hub for barbecues, parties and hang outs.  He was alway ready to lend a hand if anyone needed help or crack a joke to make everyone laugh.

He loved well and was well loved in return.
