Obituary of Lester B. Reiff

Lester B. Reiff. age 65, passed away surrounded by family in his sister Nancy's home, in Lakeville, on April 6th, 2020 from COPD and cancer. He was born on Jan. 29th, 1955 in Mpls, MN. He had a wonderful childhood growing up at Fort Snelling, MN. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1973. Lester resided in several Twin Cities suburbs during his lifetime. Lester's passion In life was golf and his father taught him the game starting at the age of 3. He played in many tournaments with a scratch handicap. Because of his golf passion he chose a career of golf course maintenance and golf course mechanic at Lost Spur, Olympic Hills, and Mpls Golf Club. Lester also enjoyed cars, trucks , machinery and working on them. Lester was also a true animal lover of dogs, cats and a special bond with all wild animals. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Reiff; grandparents and several aunts and uncles; Christine Ford, dearest significant other. He is survived by brother, Ralph (Rita) Reiff of Montgomery, AL; sister, Nancy (John) Watrud of Lakeville, MN; fond nieces and nephews, Cindy, Marty, Tom, Lisa, Colleen and Amy; several great nieces and nephews along with special friend Renee Krog and many friends. Lester has requested no memorial service to be held and interment will be at Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Odin, MN. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
