Obituary of Catherine R. Voight

Catherine was born to Joseph and Christina Hollerbach, at home in St. Paul, MN and entered Eternal Life peacefully with family at her side on December 27, 2019 in Rosemount, MN at the age of 90. She knew Jesus as her Savior.

She was an adventurous independent single woman, travelling to Europe alone where she met up with her brother, Joe and his wife, Reba. Having a house built in St Paul to her specifications was another accomplishment. Being a secretary to William L. McKnight, 3M Chairman of the Board, was a result of her hard work and fastidiousness. Purchasing a 1955 cadet blue, Buick Special, also gave her immense pride.

On December 28, 1957 she married her beloved, Jerome Voight. They made their home in St. Paul until they moved to Morris, MN, in 1972. Catherine took great pride in keeping a clean home, cooking from scratch and raising the children. Whatever she did, she did it well.

Catherine and Jerome moved to Hastings, MN in 1997 to be closer to the grown children and grandchildren. She continued cleaning, cooking, and lovingly taking care of Dad.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, as well as all eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by children: Mary Voight (Peter Leung), Christine (Dale) Yohnke, Jerome (Wendy) Voight Jr., Michael (Rita) Voight, & Jackie (Jim) Snowden; 9 grandchildren: Geoffrey Leung, Lauren Leung, Meredith Leung, Nick Voight, Timothy Voight, Benjamin Voight, Jack Yohnke, Alex Yohnke, and Mark Yohnke, and; 2 great grandchildren: David Voight and Nathan Voight.
