Our sincerest condolences to the Fields family. I was granted the opportunity to be able to work with Daryl as a vendor partner working with SuperValu. We often would work closely together solving issues. In our conversations, it became apparent that Daryl was an avid Vikings fan. Living and working from Green Bay, we always would have what I would call banter back and fourth on the upcoming seasons. Every time I think of the Vikings I'll think of Daryl
Even after Daryl's retirement from SuperValu, we stayed in contact via social media and I always looked forward to his e-Christmas cards. He always spoke highly of spending more time with his family and grandchildren. I'm glad that God has given me the opportunity to cross Daryl's path. I was very lucky to have known him throughout the years. All I can say is the he was a great guy who served our country and made the world a better place. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked with Daryl at SUPERVALU when I first moved there. I remember how great it was to work with Daryl and just how much fun it was to be around him. My thoughts and condolences go out to the family.

Prayers and condolences to Jean and Family from the Wankel family, the neighbors on the other side. Both David and I so enjoyed the many conversations we exchanged with Daryl. From the time we moved in back in 2003, David began visiting with Daryl. These two shared so many thoughts and ideas, they most likely solved all the world's problems, but managed to keep this exchange between the two of them. These conversations multiplied and strengthened when our dog, Bella (a shih tzu) entered our family. Observing David and Daryl talk on either side of Daryl's fence, while simultaneously, Bella and Molly (Daryl's black lab) ran back and forth along either side, still brings a smile to my face. This will always be my fondest memory. To be a good conversationalist is a gift and Daryl had it. This spontaneous flow of quality conversation will be missed by both of us. Daryl, through your conversation, loyalty, support and trusting nature, you exceeded the expectations of being a "good neighbor". You were a great neighbor. We were blessed to know you and call you our neighbor and our Friend. Jean, we are here for you if you need anything.
With deepest sympathy, David, Martina and Family

Sympathy from Dawson. Memories of Daryl coming into the Swedish Inn when Dawn and Elmer Pehrson owned it. Always nice to visit.

We moved in nextdoor to you 9 years ago. We were total strangers but that quickly changed. We became good friends. We would sit outside on our front step (or yours) and visit for hours. Daryl was quick to greet us when we got home from work, letting us know what we missed in the neighborhood during the day. If he saw us outside he’d walk over with a cold one and Jean would follow. Oh how we enjoyed those nights. He was always willing to help us out with anything (from getting our mail to waiting for Nick to get off the school bus). There was a twinkle in his eyes and a huge smile on his face when he spoke of his family, especially when he talked about his granddaughters. We will miss you, Daryl. We’ll miss the visits and laughter. Hugs and prayers of comfort to Jean and family.
