I grew up just down the street from Brian, on Anderson Lakes Pkwy. He rode my school bus in my early years. He & I were both kids who got into a bit of trouble in our youth. I found him to be a bit of a misunderstood and kindred soul. I related to him quite a bit back then. I remember he & I crossing paths a bit between 1st & 6th grade- at that lake in the neighborhood that was always so quiet and peaceful. He would wander the trails from Preserve Blvd up to Jerry's new market. He had a humor advanced for his age which I felt was an intelligence blossoming.
Over the years he has randomly entered the forefront of my mind when I think back on elementary and middle school. Today I happened to search to see if he was on FB. I am so sad to just now hear of his demise. I am sorry for his parents and those who loved him. -Elise Hansen Hawkins
