Obituary of Nathan G. Nelson

Nelson, Nathan G. 93, passed away on 3/8/19. Born 5/14/1925 to Dr Len & Lula Nelson in Amery, WI, and grew up in New Richmond, WI. Nate served in WW2 in. He graduated with his MBA in 1948. In 1948, he married Nancy DePue of Peoria IL. Nancy passed in 2000. son Jeff died in 1993. Nate is survived by his wife Ellen (married 2004), stepdaughters Lisa Hokkanen, Nicole Stewart, son Jay (Laurie), daughter Becky (Dave) Zeilingerand brother Dr Charles Nelson. He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Nate worked in the milling industry for PV Company Flour Mills until 1973 and then became a financial advisor, retired from Wells Fargo in 2009. He was a charter member and past president of Hazeltine G.C. and was a member at Desert Horizons Golf Club in Indian Wells CA Nate also enjoyed being a member of the Mpls Gyro Men's Club. A pastor from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church will preside at a gravesite service at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery with military honors on Monday, 3/18 at 2:00, assembly area #5.
