Obituary of Carl Robert Marion
Carl “Skip” Marion
Age 79, of Pine River, Minnesota passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 27, 2018. He was a humble, peaceful man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch, watching the wildlife with his first cup of coffee. He proudly served in the US Navy. After his honorable discharge he returned home to Robbinsdale and worked for General Mills Defense Plan developing the first Guidance Missile Fins. Skip later served as a Reserve Deputy for Navarro County, Texas. He moved to Northern Minnesota and worked as an electrician until his retirement. In his retirement he stayed busy working around his house and lending a hand to anyone who needed it. He was greatly loved by many and will be missed by all. Preceded in death by mother, Violet (Roy) Leckner; father, Carl N. (Elise) Marion. Survived by children, Cheryl (Rob) Besst and Chad Marion; companion, Myra Marion; sisters, Linda (Mark) Larson, Donna (Greg) Knott, Brenda (Jerry) Wiisansen, Carla Marion and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12th visitation at 10AM and Mass at 11AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 30918 Rasmussen Road, Pequot Lakes with a reception to follow.
