Obituary of David G Vosika
David G. Vosika, 79, of Duluth, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Franciscan Health Center.
David was born Aug. 6, 1935 to George and Yvonne Vosika.
He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1953 and then attended the University of Minnesota Duluth where he was a member of the varsity golf team and graduated in 1957 with a business degree. In 1964, he married Virginia Good.
David worked in the Duluth and northern Minnesota area as a sales representative for Nabisco for 35 years and continued to pursue his golf passion, playing and winning many area amateur tournaments over the years. During retirement, he also enjoyed the Wednesday morning gatherings of the Lakeside men at the Portman Community Recreation Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Yvonne.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia; one daughter, Kimberly (Steven) of Duluth; two sons, David (Sue) of Duluth and Michael (Elizabeth) of Durango, Colo.; three grandchildren, Jessica (Nick), Nikole (Scott), and Colin; great-grandchildren Alezea and Evan; sister, Mary of Duluth; brother, Steven (Patricia) of Bemidji; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a future date.
