Obituary of Lynn Allen Lindquist

Lynn Lindquist age 63 of Eden Valley passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at home. His memorial service will be Sunday June 14, 2015 from 4-8 pm at the Kingston Community Center with a short service at 6 pm. Lynn Allen Lindquist was born on March 19, 1952 in Dassel, MN to Ruby (Nelson) & Elmer Lindquist. He grew up in the country north of Cokato, MN. He went to Ojampara Country School, then went to Cokato High School. He served in the U.S. Marines. He worked in masonry for many years. He lived in California, Oklahoma, and Minnesota. He married Sandra Sommerfeld (Holmberg) on March 15, 2002. They lived in Eden Valley and enjoyed being together and with family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting; playing pool and cards; long drives and site seeing; watching MN sports and Netflix; cooking and spicy foods; playing the claw machines to win stuffed animals and watches; hobbies such as making canes, making beaded necklaces and coloring fuzzy posters. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, and above all his granddaughters who he adored and loved dearly. Lynn is survived by his wife Sandra Lindquist, children; Chris Lindquist (Alycia Hansen), Shane Cox, & Beth Cox, step-children; Sara (Todd) Shoutz, Jennifer (John) Condon, Wesley Sommerfeld, and Tracey Denzer (Nate), grandchildren; Jazmine and Kyria Lindquist, Zoe Shoutz, Destini Anderson, and Mackenzie Straumann. He is also survived by his siblings; Betty (Russ) Rokala, Diane (Dave) Chastek, Bruce (Renva) Lindquist, and Mary (John) Railsbeck, mother-in-law Darlene Holmberg, brothers and sister-in-laws, close extended family and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Elmer Lindquist; siblings; Sharon Shoutz, Jim Lindquist, and Donald Lindquist, brother-in-law Wayne Shoutz and sister-in-law Joan Lindquist.
