Obituary of Sau Lan “Michelle” Henseler

Henseler, Sau Lan "Michelle" (nee Tang) of Eagan passed away Friday, June 12th, 2015, at the age of 65 in the loving presence of her family. Michelle is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, George; son, Anthony Henseler (wife Jennifer) of Fairfax, VA; daughter, Christine Hirtz of Eden Prairie, MN; daughter, Carisa Held (husband Frank) of Prague, Czech Republic; six grandchildren, Bryant (21), Brennan (14), Behren (5), Arianna (7), Lia (5) and Elena (4). Michelle was born and raised in Kowloon, Hong Kong, to father, Siu Lung Tang, and mother, Pui Ching Hung, who have preceded her in passing. Her brothers, Ho Sun Tang and Hon Sun Tang; and sisters, Sau Chun Tang, Sau Fong Tang, Sau Ying Tang, and Sau King Tang, all reside in Hong Kong with their families. During her early years, Michelle performed as a singer and dancer in a touring Chinese opera. She met her husband in Hong Kong while George was serving in the US Marine Corps. She moved from Hong Kong to Minnesota in 1970 where she raised her family and blessed everyone with her charm, kindness and loving nature. Although she had never cooked while growing up, she became an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, Chinese opera movies and family activities, especially spending time with her grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 19th at 4 pm at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S., Edina, MN 55435, 952-924-4100. Visitation 3 pm.
