Obituary of Janet Olson

Janet Olson, age 83, of Eden Prairie, MN. Born July 4, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Passed away June 20, 2015. Janet enjoyed golfing with her friends, traveling, reading, shopping, her involvement in the Officer's Wives Club at the Fort Snelling Officer's Club and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Olson and her daughter, Nancy Poirier (Jensen). Janet is survived by her sons, Jay (Susan) Jensen of Eden Prairie, Scott (Jacque) Jensen of Edina and Todd (Mary) Jensen of Hood River, Oregon; special granddaughter, Melanie (David) Joas; grandchildren: Joseph (Lauren) Jensen, Kelly Jensen, Steve Jensen, Mollie Jensen and Mitchell Poirier and great-grandchildren, Gracie Joas and Jonah Joas. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave. S., Minneapolis. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
