Obituary of Shirleyann Clark

Shirleyann Clark age 87, of Duluth, joined her loving husband on Friday, April 20, 2018 with all her family at her side, while at Viewcrest Healthcare Center. She was born June 14, 1930 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa to James and Edythe Hosford. Shirleyann graduated in 1947 from Sherburn High School and later attended Mankato State College. In 1951 she spent a year in Hollywood, CA working as a Personal Secretary for MGM movie Director Busby Berkley. On April 24, 1954 she married Robert W. Clark. Shirleyann had several lead roles in her high school plays. She was a member of 4H where she won a blue ribbon in dress making and her dress was displayed at the Minnesota State Fair in 1946. She was a member of the St. James Eastern Star, den mother for Cub Scouts for her three sons and enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed traveling with her family after retiring from the City of Duluth in 1996. Shirleyann was a long time member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and the Lydia Circle. Shirleyann was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her sister, Jean Higgs. She is survived by her children, Shawn (Robin) of Duluth, Kevin (Lolie) of Sacramento, CA, David (Jill) of Cotton and Ann (Jamie Nelson) Clark of Duluth; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her loving companion, Cece. The family would like to thank the staff of Viewcrest for their loving care of Shirleyann. Memorials are preferred to Lakeside Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers. A private family gathering will be held.
