Obituary of Elaine P. Mathison

Elaine Evelyn Bezenek was born in Morrison County, MN, on July 23, 1944, to Benedict A. Bezenek and Barbara (Sadlovsky) Bezenek. Elaine passed peacefully on April 20, 2018. Elaine married Charles L. Perkins, and from this marriage, her son Cerren A. Perkins was born. They divorced. In 1980 she married Allen D. Mathison, who had two sons, David and Richard. Elaine and Allen were happily married and enjoyed traveling many places during their marriage. Elaine was a beautician and worked as a stylist for the JCPenney Styling salon at Southdale in Edina, MN, for many years, retiring from JCP. She was blessed in life with many friends who brought her much happiness. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allen; a brother, Benedict Bezenek; and a sister, Dorothy McPhail. Elaine dearly missed all those who passed before her. Elaine is survived by her son Cerren (Anita) Perkins of Rochester, granddaughters Laura and Wendi Andersen, Allen’s sons, David (Karyn) and their children Joseph, Jason and Jessie and son Richard Mathison and his children Richard, Michelle and Danielle, her brother David (Judith) Bezenek along with great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A remembrance for family and friends will be on Wednesday June 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Ave SE, Rochester, MN. There will be a service at 5:00 p.m. followed by fellowship and light refreshments.
