Obituary of Lawrence Emil Wittmier

WWII Veteran of Mpls, passed away surrounded by family on June 30, 2015 at age 94. Lawrence was a teacher and postal worker who devoted his life to God. Lawrence was a caring man who put others needs before his own. He was a gifted guitar and banjo player who used his music to bring joy to others. Preceded in death by daughter, Sheila. Survived by wife, Florence; daughter, DiAnne; grandsons, Josh (Sydney) Wittmier and Dallas (Kayla) Schumann; great grandchildren, Alayna and Lawrence. Memorial service on Monday, July 13 at 11am with visitation at 10:30am at the Minnesota Veterans Home Chapel, 5101 Minnehaha Ave., building 19, Mpls 55417. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
