Obituary of Rodney Alvin Privette

Rodney Alvin Privette, 82, of Saginaw, MN, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday April 20, 2018 in Essentia Health/St. Mary's. Rod was born on August 7, 1935 to Virn and Mary (Poye) Privette in Duluth. He married Phyllis Linda Eckstrom on July 25, 1959 and raised 3 sons. Rod retired from BNSF Railroad after 43 year as a brakeman. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis, sons Scott (Joanne), Steve (Lori), Brian (Gina); grandchildren Bradley (Holly), Matt (Kathleen), Sara (Tyler), Cody (Kathleen), Brittany, Jamie (Mike) Ryder; great grandchildren Easton and baby Privette due in May, many nieces and nephews and special nephew Greg (Sue) Privette. His special little buddies Ryder and Easton always put a smile on his face. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 27th at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Lutheran in Twig, MN with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow.
