Obituary of Lyda Belanger

Betty (Lyda) Belanger. Avid bridge player, staunch democrat, connoisseur of ice cream, lover of campfires, voracious reader, and frequent user of the word "whoop dee doo", passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lyda Dumas and grandson John Belanger Jr. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry, as well as son John (Therese) Belanger, daughters Mary (Mark) Graves, Kathleen (Mark) Gebert, Elizabeth Ann (Patrick) McCoy, 12 grandchildren, brothers Jerry, Gene & John Dumas, sister Pat Brett, many nieces & nephews, her beloved Shih Tzu Lucy, and many dear friends. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, April 27 at 11am at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lake Minnetonka Life Care Center. Please treat yourself to a hot fudge sundae with nuts she would have wanted that.
