Obituary of James R Watten

James R. Watten, 58, lifelong resident of Duluth, Minn., passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born June 4, 1957 in Duluth to Roy and Janice Watten. Jim loved being a mechanic, whether at work or as a hobby. He also enjoyed being a CB and ham radio operator. Jim volunteered for many events throughout the city and loved the Depot and trains. Jim was always willing to help anyone in need. He last worked as a telecommunications technician for Four Stars Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Janet Lee Watten; and sister Gloria Watten. Jim is survived by his son Christopher of Duluth; sister Doris (Jim) Thorsen of Duluth; brother Ralph (Chris) of Superior, Wis.; niece Sara and nephew Joshua; and special friends Randy and Bob.
