Obituary of Donna Rae Sandstrom

Donna Rae Sandstrom, 87, of Duluth, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Diamond Willow in Proctor. Donna Rae was born in Hibbing, Minn., on March 12, 1928 to Arthur and Aila (Pokkela) Davidson. She graduated from Hibbing High School and moved to Duluth. She worked for Marshall's for a period of time before she met and married her husband Harvey. Along with raising her family, Donna Rae was very involved with the Fredenberg Community Chapel where she played organ for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey; daughter Kristi and her parents. Donna Rae is survived by her daughters, Sarah Sandstrom and Barbara (Dan) Anderson; grandchildren Michael and Christina and five great-grandchildren. The family thanks the staff at Diamond Willow for the wonderful care they provided. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Emmanuel Baptist Church 1505 Eklund Ave. Duluth. A light lunch will follow the service.
