Obituary of Ronald M. Vagle

Ronald M. Vagle, age 74, passed away on April 24, 2018, at his home, surrounded by family after a short battle with lung cancer. Born June 21, 1943 in Hallock, MN. Lived in Lake Bronson, MN during his childhood then moved with the family to Minneapolis in 1955. Graduated South High School in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart, Jean in 1965. Ron graduated from the University of MN in Aeronautical Engineering in 1965. Career opportunities at IBM brought him to Connecticut and Pennsylvania. In 1979 he moved to Michigan where he and his brother, Mel started Scientific Coatings. After selling Scientific Coatings in 1983, Ron moved back to Minnesota and started Microsota (aka Rovak), a company designing software for doctors and oral surgeons. Retiring in 1998 at the age of 55, Ron enjoyed golfing in the summer and wintering at Estrella del Mar in Mazatlan, Mexico. Preceded in death by parents Melvin and Marion Vagle and sister Harriet Smith. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean (nee Schwartz), sons Andy and Erik and brothers Mel Vagle and Fred Vagle. He is greatly missed by his family and wonderful friends in Minnesota and Mazatlan.
