Obituary of Jerome Lanceon Ketcham

Jerome Lanceon "Jerry" Ketcham, age 96, formerly of Minneapolis and Cumberland, Wisconsin, died peacefully on April 25, 2018, at Deer Crest in Red Wing, Minnesota. Jerry was born in Pepin, Wisconsin, May 25, 1921. He served proudly in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Jerry became a journeyman carpenter and moved to Minneapolis with his wife Mildred where he worked for his entire career before retiring to his lake home near Cumberland, WI. Preceded in death by his parents Orlando and Helen, and by all three siblings. Survived by his wife of 74 years Mildred (Miller) Ketcham, daughter Ann Ketcham (Jeff) Palmer and son Steve (Chris Sadar) Ketcham. Also survived by four grand children and four great-grandchildren. Jerry was a hard working, loving, and generous man who was proud of his kids and grandkids. We will miss him. The family wishes to thank the many good people at Deer Crest Senior Living and Red Wing Mayo Hospice for the amazing care and compassion they provided Jerry in his final days. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 11:00, at First United Methodist Church, Red Wing. Memorials preferred to YMCA Camp Icaghowan or the Pottery Museum of Red Wing.
