Obituary of Donald Albert Johnson

Donald Albert (Swamp) Johnson, 85, Superior, Wis., died Aug 9, 2015. He was a strong, dependable, take charge hero on the outside and tender, lovable, soft hearted sweetie on the inside. Donald was born July 18, 1930 to Albert and Alice (Flamang) Johnson in Solon Springs, Wis. He worked at Murphy Oil as a chemist and was a gunsmith and gun dealer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alice. He is survived by wife, Jeanette; sister, Rosemary Johnson, Madison, Wis.; children Michael (Karen) Lino Lakes, Minn., David, Lynn (Steve) Wisneski, Superior; grandchildren Suzanne and Andrew; step-children, Cyndee (Kevin Stevens) Johnson, Brian (Becky Zallar) Johnson and granddaughter Riley. SERVICE: 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 in Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 North 16th Street, Superior. Rev. Mark Pavola will officiate the service.
