Obituary of Margaret Carol Watt

Margaret Carol Watt of Duluth died on Aug. 10, 2015 In St. Lukes Hospital. She was born on Oct. 6. 1926 in Duluth, to the late Magnus and Margit Erickson. Margaret graduated from Denfeld High School, and married Robert Watt in Duluth on Aug. 3, 1946. She worked as owner-operator of Richies Drive Inn in Morgan Park for 18 years. During the winters she worked at the Duluth Curling Club with her husband, Bob. She retired from the Duluth Transit Authority in 1988, where she was an Administrative Assistant for 20 years. Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Viking Senior Citizen Club, and VFWAux. 6320. Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers Erling, Melvin and Rolf Erickson and a great- grandson, Waylon James Hutchins, and her loving husband of 67 years, Robert. She is survived by her three children, Carol (Fred) Kostka, Bill (Pam) Watt and Jim (Jody) Watt, and seven grandchildren, Derek, Matthew and Julie Kostka, Melissa (Scott) Fleet, and Stephanie (Jason) Cruciano; and Jason (fiance Kjersta Poppe) Watt and Jenae (Travis) Hutchins; and nine great- grandchildren. Margaret will be sadly missed by her family and friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in Zion Lutheran Church, 2431 W. 3rd St., Duluth. Pastor Judy Anderson-Bauer will officiate. Gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Duluth Amateur Hockey Association 120 S. 30th Ave Duluth MN, 55806 or the Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln Park 2431 West Third St. Duluth MN 55806.
