Obituary of Jacqueline Myrtle Ingalls

Jacqueline Myrtle (Nelson) Ingalls, age 86, of Chanhassen, passed away August 16, 2015 in the comfort of her home. Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Myrtle (Nelson) Nelson. Born September 7, 1928, "Jackie" was a 1946 graduate of Edison High School in Minneapolis where she grew up. She retired after working 30 years in Social Services for Hennepin County General Hospital and was employed an additional 17 years by the Anoka-Hennepin School District. As a dance student and teacher for 21 years and a forever-fan of the big band sound, she simply could not sit still when the music started playing. Whether she was grooving to the beat in her chair or doing the Lindy Hop full throttle on the dance floor, any rhythm made her shine! This "Five foot two, eyes of blue" woman was strong, loving, funny and compassionate. She loved and prayerfully supported her family and friends all around her with vivacious dedication. She will be missed by many, yet held warmly in our hearts for eternity. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Peter) Murray; granddaughters Kate and Eloise; brother Harold Nelson and many other relatives and friends. There will be a private memorial for immediate family members only at a future date to be determined. Memorials preferred to: Second Church of Christ, Scientist - Minneapolis, 1822 Hennepin Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55403; or Clean Water Action, 330 2nd Avenue South, Ste 420, Minneapolis, MN 55401.
