Kenneth Alman

Obituary of Kenneth John Alman

Ken Alman, age 60, of Becker, passed away on August 19, 2015, surrounded by his family. Ken was a skilled craftsman and avid golfer. He began construction at a young age, learning with his brothers directly out of high school. He mastered the trade through many years of hard work and proved his craftsmanship again and again. He shared his joy and expertise for carpentry whenever possible, leaving many treasures behind. Despite a collection of broken clubs and many missing golf balls, Ken always enjoyed a round of golf. He loved spending time with family and friends, playing games – especially cards – or even just “shooting the breeze.” Ken was a thinker and encouraged “more thinking, less work” to accomplish necessary tasks. His knowledge, quick wit and sense of humor provided laughter to anyone in his company. He gave a great life to his five children and four grand-children, along with comfort and wisdom to all who know him. There are countless memories and lessons that will be shared without end. Preceded in death by parents, Kenneth, Sr. and Marietta; brothers, Norman and Michael. He is survived by his children, Jill (Jim) McDonough, Jessica, Julie, Kenneth "John" III, and Jacob; their mother, Susy Alman; grandchildren, Zackary, Olivia, Avery, and Evelyn; siblings, Patty (Don) Johnson, Dick, Nettie (Hans) DuBois, Joyce McClain, Ronnie, Jamie (Lori), Mary Badrawi; many nieces, nephews, relatives & good friends. Celebration of Life 3-7pm Saturday, September 19th at the family residence in Greenfield. He will be deeply missed, but the impression he left on our lives will be with us forever.
