Obituary of Peter Gustave Lindgren
Oh what a wonderful marvelous day!
"Gus" went home to meet his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2015.
Born in Sweden in 1921, Gus traveled with his family to America in 1923. He was raised in the Minneapolis area, but found his true home on Elbow Lake in Cook, MN after a family trip in 1932. He would return in 1971 to live there permanently.
Gus honorably served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. In 1943 he married his "Sweetheart" Barbara. Together they raised a family and shared 63 years of true love.
Gus was known for always having a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He was the man who would drop everything to help you with anything. Gus will be remembered for his unwavering faith and a love for life like no other.
Preceded in going home by the love of his life, Barbara.
Survived by his loving family, Vern Lindgren (B), Diana Lundquist, Peter Lindgren Jr. (JoAnn), Debbie Johnson (Rick), Paula Britz (Bob), 13 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

Private services will be held with family.
