Obituary of David J. Maki

David J Maki, 67, of Proctor passed away in his home of natural causes on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, his 46th wedding anniversary. Dave was born on March 26, 1948 in Duluth to Ted and Beatrice Maki. Dave attended Denfeld High School and married his greatest love Sandy Lind in 1969. They raised three terrific children together. Dave's passion was restoring show cars, playing baseball, and his grand kids. Dave is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Sandy; sons Todd {Courtney}, Aaron (Amber); daughter, Heather Nolan; grandchildren, Jason, Dakota, Nazareth and Jasmine; sisters Yvonne (Jim) Suomala, Sandy Jader, and brother Denny (Lois) Maki. Also many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. We want to thank Essentia Hospice and Gentivia Home Health for their exceptional care, in particular Gloria. We love you all! The stories and wit that Dave had will be dearly missed, along with the love for his family. His spirit will be here forever.
