Linhares, Thomas Dominic
Age 83, of Apple Valley, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on 9/7/15 surrounded by family. Tom, 39 years retired as a vice president of Northwestern National Bank/Norwest Bank, was genuine, honest and friendly. His love and concern for those he cared for ran deep and he greeted you with a smile. Tom was a warrior against multiple illnesses’ with a strong faith and will to live. Placed in an orphanage with his twin brother at the age of four, Tom (“Pops” to his grandchildren) loved family the most. His brilliant mind and vast knowledge of many topics will be greatly missed. He was an active long-time member of Normandale Lutheran Church, a former Mason, Boys & Girls Club volunteer and Rotary member. Proceeded in death by loving wife, LeahFay; twin brother, Bill; great-grandson, Reed Thomas Anderson. Survived by daughters, Heidi Linhares and Stacy (Steve) Anderson; grandsons, Jeremy (Amber) Anderson, Timothy (Diana) Anderson and Steven R. Jr. (Jenna) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Taylar, Brooke, Austin, Raena and Ridley Fay. Memorial service Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Rd., Edina, MN 55436. Visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Normandale Foundation or donor’s charity of choice. A special thanks to Park Nicollet Hospice and the staff at Ecumen, Seasons of Apple Valley.
