Obituary of Kathy McLellan

KATHY MCLELLAN The too-brief life of Kathleen “Kathy” Ahlert began on 9/13/62 in Minneapolis and met its end in Zimmerman on 9/9/15, with a fateful stop in between in Brooklyn Park, where she met her love of 37 years, Todd McLellan.. Kathy died Wednesday after bravely battling cancer for nearly a year. She is loved and survived by her parents, LeRoy and Janet Ahlert, siblings Lee (Debbie), Kim(Jeff), Linda (Monty), Heidi (Randy), Mark, and Beth. Her sister, Cindy, passed before her. Kathy is also survived by her husband Todd, her daughters Amber(Jake) and Ashley (Davy), her son Austin, and grandchildren Ava, Ella, Claire, Griffin, and Bennett, who all knew her as “Granny”, and for whom she was the center of a wonderful universe of candy, games, beauts, and endless love. A Memorial will be held honoring Kathy on Sunday, September 13 th, at the Elk River Lions Park Center at 1104 Lions Park Drive. All who knew and loved Kathy are welcome to join.
