Obituary of George F. Gruber

George F. Gruber Jr., 74, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at St. Eligius Health Center after struggling with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Rhinelander, Wis., on July 26, 1941 to George and Helen (Bodin) Gruber Sr. George was quite the traveler and spent the majority of his career as an over-the-road truck driver. Along with hunting and fishing George enjoyed football, stock car races and telling stories. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Helen and sister, Donna Andrews. George is survived by his four children, Cindy, Kris, Michael and Sandi (Ivan) Timm; two grandchildren, Dillion and Dakota and two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Danyelle; brother Ray and sister Lois. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Eligius for the wonderful care they provided George.
