Obituary of Lloyd D. Meyer

Lloyd D. Meyer, of Edina, passed away Sept. 20th, 2015. Born Dec 12th, 1920 in New Rochelle, NY. Graduated from the University of MN with a B.S. in Business Administration. After college he joined the army and served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII as a staff sergeant in the 21st Air Service Group. He spent the majority of his business career as a stock broker for Prudential Bache. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club, Mason's, Braemar Men's golf club and the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. Most recently he was active in the 7500 York senior living community. His interests included family, volunteering, and sports. Preceded in death by wife, Nancy Meyer, and daughter, Virginia Ballweg. Survived by daughter, Carolyn (Dave) Gundersen, granddaughters, Kelly (Matt) Wilcox and Carrie (John) Degerness. Visitation 10 AM, memorial service 11 AM Friday, Sept. 25 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN 55435. Interment to follow at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
