Obituary of Iris Farnell

Age 86, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 21, 2015. She went to rest with Jesus after progressing through Alzheimer’s disease. Survived by husband, Robert Farnell; children, Mike (Linda) Farnell, Nancy (Damon) Stroth, Jeff (Lynette) Farnell and Jill (Hugh) Maples; grandchildren, Jason (Toni) Stroth, Michelle (Ryan) Stadler, Trevor (Jeannie) Stroth, Brandon Stroth, Jenny (Nate) Peterson, Shannon (Tyler) Schrupp, Lindsay Farnell, Danielle Maples, Tina (Joel) King, Brianna Farnell and Shane Farnell; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Lofgren; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by sister, Joyce Lofgren; brother, Harland Daw. Iris was known for her selfless love of family, positive attitude, sense of humor and strong faith. She was a creative artist who enjoyed oil painting and flower arranging, and loved Dairy Queen ice cream. Memorial service 11 AM Mon., Oct. 12 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 8600 Fremont Ave S, Bloomington. Visitation 10 AM. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
