Obituary of Douglas Michael Slosson

Douglas Michael Slosson Sr., 71, passed May 3rd 2018 at Essentia Health in Duluth. He was born Dec 12th 1946 to Douglas H and Ida Slosson. Douglas was married to Linda Young on Nov 26 1965. Douglas enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, golfing and gardening. In the winter his passion was curling. His family was very important to him expecially time with his grandchildren and weekly lunches with his two sisters. He was a former marine during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2009 from the City of Duluth as a bridge operator on the Aerial Liftbridge. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 50 years. Douglas will be greatly missed by his two sons, Douglas Jr and Michael(Darnell) Slosson, 5 grandchildren Douglas(Andres) Renoit, Logan and Mason Slosson, Joseph and Sarah Nyback, granddaughter Aili, sisters Alice(Dick) Ridgewell and Susan Slosson, as well as many nieces nephews and friends. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. The celebration of life will be held Thur May 17th 2018 at the Moose Club 1302 in Proctor, MN from 1pm to 4pm and a sharing of memories at 2pm.
