Obituary of Losa Taimani Papá Tuapau’u

Losa passed peacefully from this life the morning of September 25th at North Memorial Hospital, after a gradual decline from complications of Pancreatic Cancer. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. Losa was born in Lapaha,Tonga. She has arrived in the United States in 1985, to welcome her oldest granddaughter, Mishele. From then on she has traveled to California then to Minnesota with her oldest son [Peter] and his family. She became a U.S. Citizen in the year 2005. Losa was loved by everyone. She left a warm and long-lasting imprint on every person she met. She was the type of person who befriended a cashier at the grocery store. Just about the whole city of Golden Valley and Robbinsdale knew who Losa was. What made her so special was she cared for you the moment you met her which you easily reciprocated. Losa is survived by seven children (and spouses): Petelo Papá (Barbara), Sitoni Hufanga, Tino Hufanga (Ananaite), Sitapa Hufanga, Ofá Tuapau’u (Maletina), Malia Ivy Tuapau’u; daughter-in-law Milo; 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Losa is also survived by her brother Sosefo Veatama and sisters Sita Dumond and Talafaiva Ngungutau.
