Obituary of Linda Yvette Ratliff

Linda Yvette Ratliff, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at her home. She was born on May 29, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN to the union of Paul Ratliff Sr. and Adrienne Merrill Ratliff. Linda attended Bancroft and Field elementary schools, Ramsey Jr. High School and graduated from Roosevelt Sr. High School. Linda also attended the Glamor School of Beauty. Linda accepted the Lord and joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she was baptized. She later joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed knitting and had just been asked to organize a knitting club at her residence. She also enjoyed playing the piano and dance. Linda had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. She will be remembered as a bright, shining light in various communities and circles and as the apple of her father’s eye. She was preceded in death by Grandparents Rev. Willard & Hazel Merrill Sr., Father Paul Ratliff Sr., Sisters Lisa Dawson and Maria Houston, Nephew Jeffrey Ratliff Sr., Aunts Kathleen Carr, Evelyn Merrill and Barbara Fischer, and Uncle Ronald Merrill. She is survived by her mother Adrienne Merrill Ratliff, brothers Paul (Gloria) Ratliff Jr., Rev. Keith (Debra) Ratliff Sr., Joel (Nikki) Ratliff, sister Kenyari Ratliff, Aunts - Winna Davis, Janice Moore, Judith Merrill and Mary Merrill Anderson, Uncle Willard Merrill Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and her lifelong friend Barry Moore. The Ratliff family would like to extend their gratitude to all who helped care for and support Linda. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11 am at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church 3355 N. 4th St. Minneapolis, MN 55412
