Obituary of Carl LaBella

LaBella, Carl James age 62 of Victoria, MN, passed away after a long illness on 4 May 2018. Carl was Born in Madison, WI to Rosalia (Greco) LaBella and Carl Joseph LaBella. Carl graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelors of science. Carl met his wife, Susie Pagel, at his college job and they married in 1985. Work took them to Minneapolis, MN and various management positions in the area. He furthered his education with a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. His path eventually led to CSI Testing where he was promoted to president. Carl's experience at CSI Testing made him a nationally recognized expert on performance testing and engineering controls used in medical technology and sterile drug preparation. He was elected President of the Controlled Environment Testing Association. In retirement, Carl and Susie split their time between Minnesota and their winter home in Buckeye, AZ. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, and constant companion, Susie. They were avid golfers and enjoyed gathering with their friends and neighbors for "happy hour" or cards. Carl was an ardent fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers sports and was very proud of his Sicilian heritage Carl was preceded in death by his father (Carl) and mother (Rosalia). He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan; sister Angela Romig (James); brothers Joseph (Liz); John (Patti); Aunts Josephine LaBella of Madison, WI and Evelyn LaBella of Portland, OR as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces. A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion, Chanhassen, MN on 17 May 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to N. C. Little Hospice.
