Obituary of Joseph Capetz

Joseph Capetz, age 86, died in his home 10/14/2015. Adored in life, he was an educator, author, jazz musician, veteran, devout husband, loving father, grandfather, uncle, and the best of friends. Joe was devotedly generous with his love and caring for family. He was beautiful inside and out. Joe will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives he touch-ed. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorie, his parents, and eight siblings. He is survived by his five children, their spouses and eight grandchildren, Maren, William, Andrew, Kirsten, Matthew Hart of Chanhassen, MN; Joseph, Wendy Capetz of Richfield, MN; Jon, Chris, Sander Capetz of Kent OH; Cristinlisa, Joseph, Samuel, Emily Raiche of Plymouth, MN; and Peter, Daisy, Margaret, Carter Capetz of Mountain View, CA as well as many nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends. Memorial service will be Saturday, November 14th at 2 pm at the Cremation Society of Edina, 7110 France Ave (952-924-4100). Visitation is one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association or the Fender Music Foundation.
