Obituary of Bruce L. Temte
Temte, Bruce L
Age 74, of Bloomington, passed away May 5, 2018. Bruce was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 15, 1944, to Dell and Adeline Temte. He was the oldest of 6 children. He attended Lutheran Bible College, the University of Minnesota, and Harvard University earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He married the love of his life, Carolyn, on July 19, 1970, and raised three daughters: Lisa, Emily, and Sara.
Bruce was a high school math teacher for 30 years at Washburn High School. After this, he spent 12 more years being a postal carrier at the Burnsville post office. He retired in 2011, and spent much of his retirement traveling with his wife. He was also a faithful member of Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His love of numbers, details, and dumb jokes always kept us on our toes. We will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by parents Dell and Adeline Temte. Survived by wife of 47 years, Carolyn; daughters, Lisa (Jason) Hanson, Emily Temte (Caleb Anderson), and Sara Temte (Trevor Kraft); 9 grandchildren (Tyler, Austin, Lexie, Josie, Hunter, Dakota, Brayden, Calliope, and Cassius), and 5 siblings (Lee Temte, Karen Jacobson, Dale Temte, Gary Temte, and Beth Leeman.)
