Obituary of Robert Edward Kramer

Robert Edward Kramer, age 75, of Minnetonka, beloved grandfather, teacher, coach, friend, avid dancer and motorcyclist, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Luella, sister Audrey. Survived by brothers, Larry, Edwin; sisters, Connie, Cindy; children, Bradley, Randall, Matthew; lifelong friend and ex-wife, Ardi; grandchildren, Casey, Caitlin, Rebecca. Robert (Rob) was born November 4, 1939 in Adrian, MN. He grew up and attended school in Worthington, MN, where he made many lasting relationships. He began his 30+ year career as a math teacher in Danube, MN before moving to CA and back to MN where he built a family and continued to shape and influence lives as a father, educator at Plymouth Middle School, and gymnastics coach. Rob had many passions and hobbies and liked to stay active. He transferred his early love of horses into a lifelong passion for motorcycling, riding and traveling thousands of miles over the years with dear friends. He also enjoyed dancing, hunting, golfing, camping, and keeping up with friends and family. He shared his time and expertise enthusiastically with his sons and grandchildren. Rob loved meeting people and was always excited to find connections with others. Quick with a dance step or a memorable turn of phrase, Rob's joyful personality was a blessing to behold. He will be dearly missed by many. A memorial will be held Friday, November 6 at Faith Church from 2:30-4:30 (service at 3:30), 12007 Excelsior Boulevard, Minnetonka, MN 55343, (952) 935-4481, with a memorial celebration and dance immediately following from 5:00 to 7:00 at Tuttle's, 107 Shady Oak Rd, Hopkins, MN 55343, (952) 938-4090. A portion of Robert's ashes will be laid to rest next to his parents in Worthington, MN at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Church.
